A hefty living fruit bat without a name -- if its owner gives it a name, it loses its power. The bat is only comfortable around men, and will flee from anyone else who tries to pick it up. If its wings are draped over its owner's shoulders like a cape, it clasps its claws together and falls into a deep sleep. It protects the owner for one sea voyage, they will neither fall into the ocean nor be harmed by creatures of the deep. When its owner sets foot on land once again, the bat becomes mundane and flies away.
