HD 4, AC as Chainmail, Attack as Claw ×2. If both claws hit the same target, the bear can pull the target in for a crushing hug (save vs paralysis or take 2d6 damage). An adult bear can carry as much as a mule. Adult bears eat a week's worth of rations per day, cubs eat 3 rations per day.

- Willow. A golden-furred female, caring for two cubs, one of which is her adopted niece. She is ferocious, attacking as HD 6 when cornered.
- Underbite. A dark ochre female caring for three cubs. She knows secret game trails for moving quickly through forests (1d6: 1-3. ×1.5 speed, 4-5. ×2 speed, 6. ×3 speed).
- Brick. A shaggy red male. He is an excellent cook, can identify edible mushrooms and has a nose for truffles (finds +1d6 rations when forraging, anyone who eats his cooking has +1 morel1 for a day).
- Porter. A hulking, dark-furred male. He is super strong, able to carry as much as 2 mules. Also a sweety.
- Crevasse. An albino male with a scar across one eye from his circus days. He keeps fighting for 1d6 rounds after hitting 0 HP.
- Lucky. A young, tan-furred female with a horseshoe patch on her forehead. She has +2 to all saving throws, and gives +1 to all saving throws to any allies within 10'.
