The Saint's Cow
A small hob alehouse, little more than a cottage, painted on the inside with frescoes of haloed cattle. A rug at the door woven with green witchsigns, cures those who step on it of drunkenness. Locals know to step over the mat. Nillie the alewife is a shrewd broker of information, she has a milk-white cat who brings her secrets, and she is more favorable to people the cat likes.
Temple of Clocks
A squat, onion-domed tower with walls covered in fishlike scales of polished brass. Organ music and a staccato metronome ticking emanate from the building. Inside is a single large room with a baroque organ directly across from the entrance, and a 20-foot wide stained glass clock face taking up most of the floor. Ladders lead up to a nestlike balcony in the onion dome. Three hunchback brothers live here, Lio, Vio and Gio. They each work rotating twelve-hour shifts, playing the organ, maintaining the clock and resting. The brothers can cast Haste or Slow once per round. Anyone who spends a day helping them tend the temple gains the ability to cast either spell once over the next week. By consulting the clock for a day one has a 2-in-6 chance of learning when something is going to happen.
Searcher's Pond
A stone altar sits just above the waterline, in front of an idol of Jubilant Neskons, depicted with four crocodile heads, one facing each cardinal direction. The practiced eye can spot 20 well-fed crocodiles floating just under the surface of the water. If a baby goat or sheep is left on the altar and one of the crocodiles eats it. The altar grants one casting of Find Object to the one who placed the sacrifice.
Werehouse
An old dyers workshop is home to a troupe of 7 travelling musicians dressed in bright silks and billowing furs. They will not take payment in silver. Their de facto leader, Tantierby the Bewitched is marked with an ice blue eye with no pupil, which he can use to cast wizard eye once per day. Several dozen human, goblin and deer skeletons are hidden in the old dying vats, and among them 3 eyeball-sized rubies worth 500sp each. The musicians are all werewolves.
Drenslo Orchard
Dozens of gnarled ancient apple trees, half growing tiny, bitter crab apples. A farmhouse at the centre is home to Roggy Denslo, his wife Orsoi, and two girls Ured and Lesu. Ured is the daughter of Roggy's first wife. She suspects her sister is a changeling, her parents think she's just being jealous. The younger girl is absolutely a doppelganger, intent on driving her stepsister to madness. A pestilence is spreading among the apples, caused by a cursed ring Lesu slipped on the oldest tree. Orsoi blames the wild folk. The family's most valuable possession is a silver plate depicting a flagellant monk worth 100sp.
