Gontred the Disgraced
HD 2, AC as Plate, Attack as Pole Arm or Dagger. A tall man, bald save for a long braided pony tail, his head covered in tattoos of scarabs and symbols of chaos. He has a giant rhinoceros beetle mount named Cryptra (HD2, AC as Plate, Attack as Giant Beetle), and his armour is made from her shed elytra. Cryptra eats twice as much as a warhorse and can carry about as much. She can fly at twice her move speed once every 3 rounds when unencumbered.
Gontred has left the cult of Mel'rud over personal grievances. They would take him back, but he never felt that there was any real potential for advancement. He's looking for an organization where he can really come into his own as a spreader of death and pestilence.
Ivonshwa the Jackal and Xocerma the Loud
HD 1, AC as None, Attack as Dagger. One is tall and thin, the other is short and fat, both have long, wild raven-black hair and a chaotic, crazy quilt poncho. They are inseparable lovers, barely able to be ten feet apart or keep their hands off each other. Both are mediums, Ivonshwa can cast charm person and Xocerma can cast hold portal. Collectively they have a 2-in-6 chance of finding a water source per day of travel in the desert.
Ivonshwa isn't from here, she arrived with a troupe of performers and decided to stay. Xocerma's mother is a rug merchant who doesn't like Ivonshwa, witchcraft or adventurers.
Ulany of the Great Storm
HD 3, AC as Plate and Shield, Attack as Battle Axe or Heavy Crossbow. A thick-armed older man with a wide straw hat, a long handlebar moustache and a beaten-up old shield. Ulany is kindly but stubborn, he doesn't think women should fight, and doesn't trust non-humans. He is beloved in Vagrant's Tears for being the last of the warriors who drove out a band of orc invaders during the battle of the sandstorm thirty years ago.
Ulany is going to die this year, a seer told him as much. While he has enjoyed his retirement, he doesn't want to go as a doddering old fool playing baloot by the well, he wants to die fighting. This makes him reckless to the point of liability.
